Students at Youthreach Knocknaheeny recently took part in the Show Racism the Red Card art competition. The students spent time researching racism and its effects and used this information to develop designs for their own anti-racism posters.
The final posters are approximately A3 in size and the students utilised and developed their photography and photo editing skills throughout the project. As you can see this has resulted in a wide range of design concepts and eye-catching posters which communicate an anti-racism message.
We also held our own in-house poster competition where students and teachers where invited to vote for the poster they felt communicated the strongest ant-racism message, needless to say this was not an easy decision! Our in- house winners were Cian Ryan, Corey Ryan, Selina Corcoran and Aaron O’Donoghue. Best of luck to all who have submitted work to the official Show Racism the Red Card art competition!
